What is The Journey?

The Journey was pioneered by the internationally acclaimed bestselling author Brandon Bays. In 1992, Brandon was diagnosed with a tumour the size of a basketball. She healed herself naturally in just 6 ½ weeks without the help of surgery or drugs. She has since been on a mission to help others discover how the power of our own emotions and thoughts can transform our lives. Today, her powerful range of self-healing tools are used worldwide in over 20 languages.

Journey work is about cellular healing. It gets to the core of a physical or emotional block, uncovering it in the deepest part of our being. It is a simple yet powerful way to face your hidden emotions and release what does not serve you. Emotions can sometimes be like kids – some are loud and attention seeking, some are shy, others have hidden themselves away behind closed doors. Journey work enables you to honour your emotions and release old cell memories as they come up. As your physical and emotional blocks are resolved, your healing process starts naturally, clearing your system at a cellular level.

Deepak Chopra’s studies revealed that cells in the body regenerate at different speeds. The cells in the liver take 6 weeks to regenerate while it only takes 48 hours for our eye cells to replicate. The stomach lining regenerates every 4 days. When cellular memories are uncovered and released, these cells are ‘switched on’ again and replicate in a positive manner. This allows the body to go about the process of healing naturally.

In his book It’s the thought that counts, David Hamilton explains how thoughts and feelings may sculpt atoms and molecules, restoring health and vitality to any part of the body.

The Journey is often misinterpreted as being a tool used to help with health issues only. There is much more to it. It brings abundance in life and relationships. As we let go of harmful emotions and behaviours that have been weighing us down, we discover our boundless potential.

There is no right or wrong way of doing a process. It starts gently and unfolds naturally. All you have to do is relax and let it happen.

Before and after a Journey Process

Each session is unique and is tailored to meet you. Some sessions include additional resources if required. Typically it lasts between 2 - 2.5 hours depending on the depth of the issues arising. We can start with a gentle meditation or dive right into the core of your issue depending on how you feel.

I would recommend taking some quiet time before a process during which you can set out your intention. It would also be helpful to eat lightly to allow space for emotions to come up. It is best not to have any alcohol as this might be a barrier to welcoming your emotions.

After the process, it is advisable to give yourself some time for what we call ‘integration’. You have just had a powerful experience which can leave you feeling emotionally delicate. Be gentle with yourself and let it all sink in naturally.
